Qambathi Mountain Lodge Dining
A Journey of Food and Wine: Seasonal, garden-to-table dining paired with exceptional South African wines, thoughtfully crafted to reflect our land and surroundings.

Our Food Philosophy
At Qambathi, food is central to the experience. Each dish is created to delight the palate, nourish the body and please the eye. As with everything we do, our approach is guided by a strong awareness of our environmental footprint.
We take pride in sourcing local, organically grown produce wherever possible and embracing a garden-to-table philosophy that celebrates seasonality, simplicity and quality.
We are happy to cater for vegetarian, vegan and Halaal guests, with thoughtful alternatives that receive the same care and attention as every dish we serve.

The Culinary Experience
Dining at Qambathi is a considered journey through local South African flavours, inspired by our surroundings and shaped by the seasons. Our mornings begin with a generous continental breakfast to get you started, followed by a selection of à la carte breakfast options prepared to order.
In the evening, guests are treated to a five-course dinner, thoughtfully designed by our chef and changing nightly to reflect seasonal availability and the freshest local ingredients.
Much of what we serve is made on site, from freshly prepared compotes to accompany your breakfast yoghurt, to bread baked for picnics by the stream, to carefully crafted side dishes that elevate each evening meal. The result is food that is honest, generous and deeply connected to place.

The Bar
Our wine list has been thoughtfully curated to showcase the depth and diversity of South African wine. Alongside respected estates, we deliberately support smaller, independent vineyards, allowing our guests to discover exceptional wines that are rarely found in the mainstream market.
Beyond wine, our bar offers a carefully chosen selection of single malt whiskies, local and international beers, a range of spirits and liqueurs, as well as soft drinks and non-alcoholic options.
