Find stillness and true connection with your equine partner and with yourself. 

If you feel there should be more to horsemanship and you would like to re-discover why you are drawn to being with horses, this retreat is for you. 

Designed to teach you how to find stillness in a way that equips you to take charge of your thoughts and emotions, and by doing so allowing you to thrive in your day to day life, dive in to an immersion of Natural Horsemanship and mindful stillness in the serene landscape of the Kamberg Valley. 

If you want to perfect your communication and connection with your horse and with yourself on a much deeper level, or if you are a beginner and want to gain a better understanding of Natural Horsemanship and the therapeutic effects of the equus, you will find this retreat revitalising and enlightening.

Limited to only 5 participants, you are guaranteed to get individual attention and coaching to optimise your experience and understanding not only of horses, but of yourself as well. 

Three nights and two full days packed with groundwork, riding, liberty, obstacles, biomechanics, cow work, yoga and life-uplifting meditation techniques, along with delicious meals and luxury accommodation.

Day 1

14:00- 17:00 Arrival and Free time

18:00 Pre-dinner drinks and theoretical part of the retreat. In a relaxed environment with a gin in hand you will learn the theory behind Natural Horsemanship Method's which will give you foundation for the two days ahead. 

Day 2

07:00 Yoga with Nadia 

08:00 Breakfast

09:00 First Practical Session

This is a groundwork session working on communication, connection and relaxation. All groundwork applies directly to riding and safety around horses.

11:00 coffee break

11:15 We put our groudwork into practice by working with horses at Liberty and adding a little fun with obstacles.

13:00 Lunch

14:00 Second practical session

We take a silent walk with our horses- a journal if you prefer. We learn to be still and observe how our emotions impact the connection with our equine partner.

17:00 Downtime and relaxation

19:00 Dinner

20:00 Q&A session. An opportunity to ask questions about the material we covered during the day.

Day 3

07:00 yoga Class 

08:00 brakfast

09:00 First Bitless arena ridden work

11:00 Coffee Break

11:15 Learn how Relaxation and Activation applies to self carriage in ridden work

13:00 Lunch

14:00 Putting the skills learned to practice on a mountain outride

18:00 Dinner

Day 4

7:30   A brief revision of what we learnt so far. 

08:00 we apply out skills to working cows. Participants say farewell to the horses after this session

10:00 Brunch During brunch we have a discussion and planning session on how to apply what you have learnt to your own horses.

Experience Required

Given the nature and terrain of the property this event is not suitabe for complete beginners

Moderately experienced  to experienced riders will be able to enjoy this event more

There is a weight limit of 90kg per rider

You should be able to mount and dismount from the ground with ease

Signing a riding disclaimer is compulsory
