Elopement & Micro Wedding
Qambathi Mountain Lodge offers fabulous wedding venue options with close proximity to the Midlands and Drakensberg. The boutique barn with its large fireplace, boma and stunning mountain views is perfect for summer and winter weddings. Another option is a forest wedding on the pretty timber deck tucked into the indigenous forest with a little river running through it, and then there is the main lodge, which has a gorgeous chill deck overlooking the gardens. Qambathi Mountain Lodge also offers you the opportunity to tailor make your wedding to include a special weekend of bush dinners, picnics, fly fishing, hiking, horse riding and golf.
We are your small boutique and bespoke wedding specialists, this is why we don't have packages for you to choose from. We believe that each wedding should be as unique as the couple that are getting married. As a destination wedding we hire the lodge on exclusive basis, this means that no other parties or lodge guests will be around on your big day.
Up to 10 Guests can be accommodated at any of the different venue options at Qambathi . An old sandstone church is situated less than 10 minutes from the lodge or the gardens offer many options for the ceremony. The entire lodge forms part of our wedding packages, with fully catered or own caterer options.
The Ceremony
Our ceremonies usually take place outdoors, weather permitting. Qambathi has all of 60ha for you to choose your perfect spot. Choose from a garden set up by the stream or the enchanting ceremony on the forest deck. If you're looking for something more traditional choose to book the gorgeous sandstone church located just 10 minutes from the lodge.

The Reception
Our Wedding "Barn" was originally built by the Barnes family, the previous owners of the farm for their daughters wedding. Renovated in 2010 it features a beautiful large fireplace, exposed beams and beautiful exposed brickwork. Big enough to hold all 10 guests with option of indoor or outdoor dance floor. There is also a beautiful boma and fire pit attached making a perfect setting for a winter and summer wedding alike. Our venue can be set up for a formal seating or a more relaxed buffet/family style dining and everything in-between.
Qambathi is all about options. In addition to the venue barn, why not host your wedding in our stylish lodge with a beautiful pool deck and adjoining gardens for a relaxed indoor/outdoor wedding. It creates for a very chilled and less formal reception. Create a beautiful atmosphere with fairy lights and mood lighting. Ideal for a daytime wedding or weather permitting al fresco dining under the starry Drakensberg sky.
