Suites and Lodge Rooms
A total of only three suites and two Lodge rooms makes Qambathi a very personal and stress free oasis. The garden rooms have their own private decks with hanging chairs overlooking the gardens and mountain. Two lodge rooms are in the main lodge building and come off the dinning room. The Chill Lounge and Pool Deck area offer panoramic views, ideal to enjoy a late afternoon sundowner or to simply relax in the sun.
Farmhouse Room
Part the original farm house built in 1918, now the main lodge. Our entry level room with direct access to the pool deck, chill out lounge, bar and are not far from the wine cellar :-) luxury finishes such as a handmade Super King Camphor bed, Aircon, hand crafted sink, Free standing bath and walk-in shower.
Barnes Room
Part the original farm house built in 1918, now the main lodge. Surrounded by lush greenery right from your window. With direct access to the pool deck, chill out lounge, bar and are not far from the wine cellar :-) including luxury finishes such as a handmade Camphor Super King bed, aircon, walk-in shower and His and hers sinks.
Classroom Suite
The Class room Suite build over 50 years ago was used by the Barnes family to home school the children. This rondavel is built in a truly Zulu style featuring circles and a thatch roof. Now Stephens favourite room it boasts its own chill out deck with hanging basket chairs to enjoy the beautiful gardens and mountain views. This suite includes luxury finishes such as a handmade camphor double wood bed, aircon, Coffee Machine, underfloor heating, a free standing bath with views and separate shower.
Greenhouse Suite
The Greenhouse suite boasts its own chill out deck with hanging basket chairs to enjoy the beautiful gardens and mountain views. With a wraparound deck you can enjoy stunning mountain views straight from your bed. This Suite include luxury finishes such as a handmade Super King camphor wood bed, a freestanding bath and a separate walkin shower. For extra comfort the Greenhouse Suite boasts, underfloor heating, Aircon and complete blackout curtains.
Stable Suite
Truly unique, starting life as a stable, meticulously converted into beautiful guest accommodation. Also known as our honeymoon suite or Tom's room following Tom Cruise visit in 2022. It is our biggest room with stunning views right from your bed. Cozy fireplace will keep you warm in winter. The Stable Suite boasts its own chill out deck with hanging basket chairs to enjoy the beautiful gardens and mountain views. This Suite includes luxury finishes such as a handmade super king camphor wood bed, free standing bath and a separate shower. For extra comfort, the Stable Suite boasts Aircon and complete blackout curtains.

Important booking information
Cancelation Policy
30- 0 days prior to arrival : 100% cancellation fee of the total booking cost. No shows : 100% cancellation fee of the total cost. In the event of premature departure the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed will be charged.
Insurance for cancellations
Travel Insurance is highly recommend in the event your flight or travel is canceled due to changes to your travel plans and you are not able to make your booking. Any good Travel Insurer will cover the cost of the cancellation fee.
Deposits and Payments
A deposit of 50% will secure your reservation. Deposits made to guarantee reservations are non-refundable. Balance of accommodation account is payable 1 Month prior to date of guest's arrival. Refunds of deposits, pre-payments & Postponements are at the discretion of the owners & are dependent on the availability to re-let the rooms. Refunds of any sort incur a R500 banking and admin fee.
Do I need a 4×4 vehicle?
The Kamberg road from Rosetta is littered with pot holes followed by a 2km stretch of gravel road which leads to Qambathi. A high rise vehicle is ideal, but the road is possible in most vehicles however we recommend not using a sports car or very low cars. Please ensure you have sufficient fuel for your onward journey and a serviceable spare wheel.
Single occupancy supplement
We don't have any! Just because you are traveling on your own, does not mean you should pay more. (solo travellers only) .

We are very proud to offer Qambathi as a adults only retreat, giving you even more peace and tranquility to relax. 16 + only. No age restrictions if booking the lodge on a exclusive / private hire.
Alcohol
Please note as we are a fully licenced premises it is not possible to consume your own alcohol on the property or your room. Corkage Fees do apply.
Pets
With regret, we are not able to accommodate any pets. (Service Dogs are very welcomed)
