Dive in to an immersion of Natural Horsemanship. If you want to perfect your communication with your horse or if you are a beginner and want to gain a better understanding of Natural Horsemanship, this retreat is for you!
Limited to only 5 participants. You are guaranteed to get the individual attention and coaching from Gareth.
Three nights and two full days packed with groundwork, riding and cow work, with delicious meals and luxury accommodation at the fabulous 4* Qambathi Mountain Lodge.

Day 1
14:00- 17:00 Arrival and Free time
18:00 Pre-dinner drinks and theoretical part of the retreat. In a relaxed environment with a gin in hand you will learn the theory behind the Heartfelt Horsemanship Method which will give you foundation for the two days ahead (bring pen and paper to take notes)

Day 2
07:00 Yoga with Nadia
08:00 Breakfast
09:00 First Practical Session
This is a groundwork session working on communication, connection and relaxation. All groundwork applies directly to riding and safety around horses.
11:00 coffee break
11:15 we work on saddling the horse and how the groundwork translates to ridden work.
13:00 Lunch
14:00 Second practical session
We checkout our groundwork, and then work on basic ridden work. This work is at a walk until the rider is competent with new skills.
17:00 Downtime and relaxation
19:00 Dinner
20:00 Q&A session. An opportunity to ask questions about the material we covered during the day.
Day 3
07:00 yoga Class with Nadia

09:00 Revision of skills learned the previous day during arena ridden work
11:00 Coffee Break
11:15 Ridden work with obstacles preparing for the mountain outride
13:00 Lunch
14:00 Putting the skills learned to practice on a mountain outride

Day 4
7:30 A brief revision of what we learnt so far.
08:00 we apply out skills to working cows. Participants say farewell to the horses after this session
10:00 Brunch During brunch we have a discussion and planning session on how to apply what you have learnt to your own horses. I will meet with each participant and discuss their individual needs and challenges, and give a program for their individual horses. A note pad is critical for this session.
